Premfire is a unique multi-function command & control and decision support system specially designed for prevention and combat of forest fires, available both in the command & control centre and in field devices.
- For prevention - Land cover cartography, remote sensing data and weather forecasts are used to create highly detailed fire-risk maps, used to identify areas where fires are likely to occur. By using both historical and daily data, PREMFIRE's accuracy while generating fire-risk maps is continuously improved.
- For fire combat - A command & control system provides real-time information to firefighters in the field and allows them to update centralized GIS-based field data, so it can be quickly disseminated to the remaining units.
- Damage assessment - Remote sensing data, coupled with GIS-based field data, allow for an in-depth analysis of the damage sustained.
Premfire incorporates Mobility, Communications and Positioning in order to provide a highly flexible platform that adapts itself to the organization's reality.
